    5 injured after shooting in Burnsville's Red Oak Park

    Shooting in Burnsville park leaves 5 injured 00:35

    BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Five teens were injured after a shooting at Burnsville's Red Oak Park on Friday evening.

    In a statement released Saturday morning, police said officers arrived at the park, located off Highway 77, around 8:15 p.m. They found multiple people injured, three of whom were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

    One person took themselves to a local hospital and another was treated at the scene and released.

    Police say details about the extent of victims' injuries are not available. However they said the victims were all teenagers: one 16-year-old, one 17-year-old, two 18-year-olds, and one 19-year-old.

    Officials are asking the public to avoid the area as they investigate the incident. No one has been arrested.
