MINNEAPOLIS — The Robbinsdale rivalry was tight and tied for a while, and then it was not. It was lopsided. Cooper trying to avenge back-to-back losses in the section final to Armstrong. But Friday was not their night.

Both teams undefeated at the start of the night. The home team hawks entered in a frenzy but made an error in the first drive. A fumble led to a short field for Armstrong. Kevon Johnson plunged it in.

The falcons went up 14 fast. But Cooper came back. Beckham van Voorst bends in a fade pass to Sama J Young for a touchdown. It was deadlocked.

But then it was all Armstrong. Kevon Johnson another short burst for a score. A massive night for him.

After halftime the falcons called up a rare air attack. Dawson Franke to Eli kuempel on the jump pass. It was 42-14.

And then the biggest play of the night. Johnson once again. Breaks away for an 84 yard sprint. A four touchdown night can cause a couple cramps. Armstrong wins it 49-21.

Kevin Johnson's 4 touchdown night brings his season total up to 11 already. Remember it's just week three.
