    1 dead, 3 injured in Southwest Philadelphia corner store shooting

    A man was killed and three others were injured in a shooting at a corner store in Southwest Philadelphia Friday night, according to police.

    Police said the shooting happened just before 10 p.m. on the 6500 block of Woodland Avenue. By the time authorities arrived, police said they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds.

    One of the victims, a 58-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center after he was shot in the right side of his chest, police said.

    The other three shooting victims, a 25-year-old man, a 28-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, were also taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

    According to police, the 25-year-old man is critical after he was shot once in the left side of his neck. Police said the 28-year-old man was shot multiple times in both legs and is stable. The 42-year-old man is also stable after he was shot in the back, police said.

    No arrests have been made in the investigation and a motive for the shooting is unclear.

    Police are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
