Pennsylvania Sheetz stores selling canned cocktails under new law
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Nearly 300 Sheetz stores in Pennsylvania are now selling canned cocktails after a new law went into effect. The gas station/convenience store chain will sell ready-to-drink cocktails like High Noon and Surfside after Gov. Josh Shapiro signed a bill into law expanding where those beverages can be sold. Under old state laws, cocktails containing spirits like vodka, gin and tequila could only be sold at state-run Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores. Shooting in West Philly leaves man dead, police say
A shooting in West Philadelphia's Overbrook neighborhood left a man dead on Wednesday, police said. The shooting happened on the 1400 block of North 53rd Street just before 4 p.m.Police said a man approximately 30-35 years old was shot in the chest, abdomen and left arm. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead at 4:27 p.m., according to police. Police said a woman was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered. The shooting is under investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit.

Check your ticket if you bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket at the Pantry 1 Food Mart on Chester Pike in Crum Lynne for Tuesday night's drawing. You could be a millionaire.The Pennsylvania Lottery says a $1 million ticket for the Sept. 24 Mega Millions drawing was sold at the Delaware County convenience store located at 609 Chester Pike.According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, the ticket matched all five white balls but not the yellow Mega Ball 18.The winning numbers were 1-6-10-23-27.The convenience store will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning Mega Millions ticket.The Pennsylvania Lottery says whoever has the winning ticket has one year to claim their prize. In a news release, lottery officials said the winning ticket "should immediately be signed on the back."The Mega Millions jackpot is now up to an estimated $77 million — or $38.2 million cash. Bam Margera going to rehab after getting out of jail Wednesday, attorney says
Former "Jackass" star Bam Margera is being released from jail in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday after violating his probation earlier this month.As part of his release, Margera will spend at least 28 days at a rehabilitation facility."Today was a good day in court for Mr. Margera," Michael van deer Veen, Margera's attorney, said. "He is being released from jail today and going for some short-term treatment. He is back on the road to his successful career and wonderful life with his wife." Margera, a Chester County native, was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police on Sept. 16 after driving under the influence in Fulton County.
