Today is another First Alert Weather Day where scattered strong to severe storms are possible. There are already a few severe thunderstorm warnings north of I-80 and in parts of Butler County.

Everyone besides a few areas south of I-70 are under a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather, which is why we are also under a
severe thunderstorm watch until 7 p.m. The biggest threat is large hail, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado. These will cross the region mainly after 2 p.m., and weaken as they move southeast until about 9-10 p.m. Secure any loose outdoor items and stay weather aware.

On Wednesday, we really cool down on the back side of that cold front bringing highs in the upper 70s for many areas! Thursday will also be dry and seasonable, with highs in the low 80s.

On Friday, there's a chance for rain showers from remnants of Tropical Storm Debby as the low tracks up the eastern seaboard.

We do dry out and catch a break from the heat and humidity for the weekend with highs near 80.
