Police safely locate 9-year-old Lena Pham who had been reported missing from Braddock
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — UPDATE: State police have said that Pham has been found and is safe. Original story follows below:Police in the Pittsburgh area are looking for a missing 9-year-old girl from Braddock Borough. Pennsylvania State Police said in a post on social media that 9-year-old Lena Pham was last seen in the 200 block of Third St. in Braddock around 10 p.m. on Thursday. State police said she may be "at special risk of harm or injury." Officials said the young girl may be in a black sedan with her mother, Trang Dang. State police did not provide a make or model of the vehicle. Pham is described by law enforcement as being 4-foot-8 with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with black lettering, black shorts and sandals. Anyone with information can call 911 or 412-299-1607.

Officer shoots armed man in Forest Hills, police say
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Churchill Borough Police Department officer shot an armed man in Forest Hills on Thursday, authorities said. The Allegheny County Police Department said in a news release that officials were notified of a "disturbance" in the 200 block of Glasgow Road around 9:30 p.m. Police said multiple departments responded to the scene. When officers arrived, the news release said they "heard a firearm being chambered and a shot fired." County police said officers saw a 48-year-old man armed with a firearm and a Churchill officer shot the man in the torso.The injured man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, authorities said. His identity has not been released. It was not immediately clear if the man pointed his firearm at law enforcement or why he fired a shot. No officers were injured, police said. Police said there is no threat to the public at this time. No other information was released on Thursday night.

William Kenneth "Kenney" Grant, the founder and owner of the iconic West Virginia chain Gino's Pizza and Spaghetti House, has died. He was 94.Grant died Wednesday, according to an obituary posted by Beard Mortuary funeral home. Remembering William Kenneth "Kenney" Grant A native of Huntington, Grant founded Gino's in 1961. He gradually expanded the business, which currently has around 40 locations around West Virginia. Grant also owned several locations of another West Virginia staple, Tudor's Biscuit World.Grant remained committed to supporting the Huntington community throughout his life, including the Marshall Artist Series, the arts and entertainment organization for Marshall University."Kenney was a visionary, he was not one to be satisfied with being just another pizza place, he always wanted more for his hometown and tried to bring that to them," the obituary said.
