The Week 0 college football schedule only includes four games, but one high-profile conference matchup between bowl teams from a season ago will headline the slate. The action begins on Saturday, Aug. 24 when Florida State takes on Georgia Tech in the 2024 Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland. The Seminoles are ranked No. 10 in the preseason AP Top 25 and Georgia Tech returns 15 starters on offense and defense from a squad that won a bowl game last season.

The Seminoles are 10.5-point favorites over the Yellow Jackets in the latest Week 0 college football odds and the game kicks off at noon ET. In the only other FBS vs. FBS matchup, Nevada will host SMU for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff on CBS Sports Network and the Mustangs are 24.5-point favorites in the Week 0 college football lines. Before locking in any college football picks for Week 0 of the 2024 season, be sure to see the latest college football predictions from SportsLine's proven model .

The model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, it has generated a profit of well over $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It is also coming off a profitable 13-9 season on top-rated spread picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen strong returns.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest college football odds for Week 0 and locked in picks for every FBS matchup. Head here to see every pick .

Top college football predictions for Week 0

One of the top college football picks the model is recommending for Saturday, Aug. 24: FSU vs. Georgia Tech stays under 55.5 points. The Seminoles averaged 38.9 points per game last season during the regular season but when starting quarterback Jordan Travis was injured, they could only manage 16 points against Louisville in the ACC Championship Game and then were blasted 63-3 by Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

Travis, Trey Benson and Keon Coleman are all in the NFL now and Florida State will have its work cut out replacing that production, particularly early in the season after working the transfer portal aggressively. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech held UCF to just 17 points in the Gasparilla Bowl and held opponents to 22 points or less in three of its final five games. Those are big reasons why the model predicts that the Under hits in more than 60% of simulations. See which other picks the model likes here .

How to make college football picks for Week 0

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in both FBS matchups on Saturday, including two spread picks that hit nearly 60% of the time. You can only get every pick for every game at SportsLine .
