If you spent the No. 1 overall pick in your Fantasy football draft on 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, you were devastated to see that he wasn't in the lineup on Monday Night Football against the Jets . However, savvy managers who handcuffed McCaffrey with Jordan Mason were rewarded, as Mason ran 28 times for 147 yards and a touchdown. Will McCaffrey be back on the field or will you need to roll with Mason in your Week 2 Fantasy football picks?

Meanwhile, after one of the worst passing weekends in the last 20 years, can you expect your top quarterbacks and wide receivers to bounce back in Week 2 or should you favor a more running back-heavy Fantasy football lineups? You can answer those questions and nail all your other difficult Fantasy football start-sit decisions with a reliable set of live-updated Week 2 Fantasy football rankings. Before you lock in your Fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 2 Fantasy football rankings from the advanced computer model at SportsLine .

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine's model beat human experts in Fantasy football for the past several seasons, especially when there were big differences in ranking. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home emptyhanded.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, including being ahead of the curve on players like A.J. Brown , Jonathan Taylor , Derrick Henry , Christian McCaffrey , Alvin Kamara , and Jahmyr Gibbs . Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its Fantasy football rankings for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. Head to SportsLine now to see them .

Top Week 2 Fantasy football picks

One surprise in Week 2: The model is fading Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. , even though the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was a second-round pick on average. In fact, the model says Harrison doesn't even finish in the top 30 at his position and he's a player who you might want to be cautious with in Week 2.

After being touted as the clear No. 1 option in the Arizona passing attack all offseason, Harrison was only targeted three times on Sunday and caught one pass for four yards. Trey McBride (nine targets) and Greg Dortch (eight targets) were Kyler Murray's favorite options and even running back James Conner outpaced Harrison in targets 4-3. He'll match up against the Rams this week and it might be worth taking a wait-and-see approach going forward.

A curveball: The model is high on Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams , a former first-round pick who had only 25 catches for 395 yards in his first two season, but managed five catches for 121 yards and a touchdown in Detroit's opener. Williams looked explosive every time he had the ball in his hands and had a staggering 68% air yards share against the Rams.

His target share was also 32% in the Sunday Night Football win over Los Angeles and Williams had only had five games in his career prior to that where his target share had even reached 10%. Now he'll take on a Buccaneers pass defense that ranked 29th in the NFL last season and the model ranks him as a top-10 wide receiver for Week 2.
