The 2024 NFL schedule is underway and as we head to Week 2, Fantasy football 2024 managers will hope for better overall passing numbers. Week 1 produced the fifth-fewest passing yards of any week over the last 20 years and disappointing games from top quarterbacks and wide receivers yielded big results for owners who invested heavily at running back. Texans running back Joe Mixon began his season with a dominant performance, running 30 times for 159 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for 19 yards.

Should you move Mixon down your Week 2 Fantasy football RB rankings with the Texans taking on a Bears defense that looked dominant in the second half of a Week 1 win? With a reliable set of Week 2 Fantasy football rankings, you can nail any difficult Fantasy football start-sit decisions that come your way. Before you lock in your Fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 2 Fantasy football rankings from the advanced computer model at SportsLine .

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine's model beat human experts in Fantasy football for the past several seasons, especially when there were big differences in ranking. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home emptyhanded.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, including being ahead of the curve on players like A.J. Brown , Jonathan Taylor , Derrick Henry , Christian McCaffrey , Alvin Kamara , and Jahmyr Gibbs . Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its Fantasy football rankings for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. Head to SportsLine now to see them .

Top Week 2 Fantasy football picks

One surprise in Week 2: The model is fading Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. , even though the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was a second-round pick on average. In fact, the model says Harrison doesn't even finish in the top 30 at his position and he's a player who you might want to be cautious with in Week 2.

After being touted as the clear No. 1 option in the Arizona passing attack all offseason, Harrison was only targeted three times on Sunday and caught one pass for four yards. Trey McBride (nine targets) and Greg Dortch (eight targets) were Kyler Murray's favorite options and even running back James Conner outpaced Harrison in targets 4-3. He'll match up against the Rams this week and it might be worth taking a wait-and-see approach going forward.

A curveball: The model is high on Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely, who looked like the most dynamic tight end on the field in a game that included former All-Pros Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews last week. Over his first two seasons, Likely was behind Andrews on the depth chart and filled in admirably with Andrews missing nine games during that span.

However, Likely has very clearly carved out a larger role for himself in 2024. Andrews played more offensive snaps (74%), but Likely was still on the field 66% of the time in Baltimore's loss to Kansas City on Thursday. Even more important, he was targeted a team-high 12 times (Andrews was only targeted twice) and finished with nine catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. Now the model ranks him as TE2 in Week 2 against the Raiders. For more start/sit Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the rest of the Week 2 Fantasy football rankings .
