    The 16th-ranked LSU Tigers open their SEC schedule when they meet the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C. After a season-opening loss to USC, LSU rebounded with a 44-21 win over Nicholls last week. South Carolina opened with a 23-19 win over Old Dominion before starting SEC play last Saturday with a 31-6 win over Kentucky. The Tigers tied for second place with Mississippi in the SEC West last year at 6-2 and were 10-3 overall. The Gamecocks tied with Kentucky and Florida at 3-5 in SEC East play and were 5-7 overall in 2023. There will be no divisions this season.
