    Why Florida can cover

The Gators ended their six-game losing streak with a 45-7 victory over Samford last week, which also marked the first collegiate start for QB DJ Lagway . The No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 class did not disappoint with 456 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and zero turnovers. Though he didn't need to use his legs, they are a weapon as well after he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 29 TDs en route to being named the Gatorade National Player of the Year as a high school senior.

Coach Billy Napier says that former starting QB Graham Mertz will also play, giving the Aggies two quarterbacks to prepare for. The sixth-year senior led the SEC in completion percentage last year and posted a 20:3 TD:INT. Even with Mertz and Lagway, Florida may not even have to rely on the passing game seeing how A&M has been dominated on the ground this season. It was one thing to allow 198 rushing yards to a then-No. 7 ranked Notre Dame team in Week 1, but the Aggies then gave up 180 rushing yards in Week 2 to a McNeese State team that went 0-10 last season. Why Texas A&M can cover

The Aggies offense found its groove in last week's 52-10 win over McNeese State as A&M scored in each of its first eight drives, with seven of them being touchdowns. The eight straight scoring drives was its longest streak since 2011, and the Aggies' 333 rushing yards were their most in a game since 2018. Five different players had at least 39 rushing yards, with RB Le'Veon Moss leading the way with 84 yards and his first two-TD game.

Texas A&M also got its first glimpse of the two-way superstar potential of Terry Bussey . The No. 1 athlete in the Class of 2024 is listed as a defensive back but took a jet sweep 65 yards for a touchdown. He provides coach Mike Elko with another offensive threat, and the former Duke head coach has already made his presence felt with his defensive background. A&M hasn't allowed a single passing play longer than 20 yards this season, making it just one of three teams in the nation who can claim that feat. See which team to pick here.
