Tiger Woods stays busy with latest golf course design to land at Bluejack Ranch in Texas town

Tiger Woods is staying busy this offseason as he continues following in the footsteps of legends before him by designing golf courses. The 15-time major champion has added another design project on his to-do list at what will be called Bluejack Ranch in a small town just outside Fort Worth, Texas.

"It's hard to believe it's been over 10 years since we embarked on my first U.S. course design at Bluejack National in Houston," Woods wrote in a letter to Bluejack Ranch members and friends. "The response to that golf experience has been truly gratifying, and when I hear how much Bluejack means to people, I feel incredibly proud of the TGR Design team.

"Now, we're bringing that same Bluejack spirit and passion to Fort Worth -- a city celebrated not only as Cowtown but also as a golf town. With legends like Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson, the love for the game here is genuine. I'm grateful for the encore opportunity to reteam with Bluejack National and home-towners Andy and Kristin Mitchell to design a course around this incredibly special property and community."

Bluejack Ranch will sit on 900 acres. It joins other golf courses in Woods' design portfolio that includes the aforementioned Bluejack National as well as Payne's Valley at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri, and El Cardonal at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Woods is also currently working on a new private golf course in southern New Jersey alongside Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels.

"Bluejack National's success has paved the way for this next chapter at Bluejack Ranch," Woods continued. "Our shared vision of creating space where families can enjoy the game and have fun inspires us all once again at The Ranch. It's extremely motivating for me to contribute to the golfing legacy of Fort Worth, and I'm excited to see what we'll build together."

The announcement of Woods' latest design comes at a time where space on his calendar is hard to come by. Last month, the 48-year-old announced he had undergone a sixth back surgery to alleviate back spasms and pain he had experienced during the 2024 season. There is no set timetable for his return.

Woods also serves on the PGA Tour Policy Board as well as the PGA Tour Enterprises Board of Directors as negotiations between the PGA Tour and the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund to unite the golf world continue. All this comes as Woods' indoor simulator golf league, TGL, is set to launch in January 2025.
