The No. 1 Texas Longhorns (6-0) will play their biggest game of the regular season when they host the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1) on Saturday night in an SEC showdown. Texas has won all six of its games by at least 19 points, including a 34-3 win over then-No. 18 Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry last week. Georgia has national championship aspirations and will be desperate to win this game after losing to then-No. 4 Alabama at the end of September. The Bulldogs have won their two games since then, beating Auburn and Mississippi State by double digits.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Texas is favored by 3.5 points in the latest Texas vs. Georgia odds, while the over/under is 56 points, per SportsLine consensus. Why Texas can cover

Texas has established itself as the best team in college football, winning all six of its games by at least 19 points. The Longhorns have dealt with several early-season tests, cruising to blowout wins at then-No. 10 Michigan and against then-No. 18 Oklahoma. Junior quarterback Quinn Ewers returned from an injury in last week's rivalry win over the Sooners, completing 20 of 29 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown.

Ewers was able to settle back in, leading the Longhorns to a 21-3 halftime lead following an early 3-0 deficit. Sophomore running back Quintrevion Wisner had 118 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, averaging 9.1 yards per attempt. The Longhorns have covered the spread in five of their six games this season, while Georgia has failed to cover in five straight games. See which team to pick here.

    Why Georgia can cover

Georgia has been inconsistent at times this season, but it crushed then-No. 14 Clemson in its season opener and nearly pulled off a massive comeback against then-No. 4 Alabama at the end of September. The Bulldogs trailed the Crimson Tide 28-0 early in the second quarter before taking a 34-33 lead in the fourth quarter. Alabama was able to score 13 seconds later to win the game, so Georgia needs to avoid another loss on Saturday.

Senior quarterback Carson Beck has completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,818 yards and 15 touchdowns, while junior running back Trevor Etienne leads the rushing attack with 335 yards and four scores. Senior wide receiver Arian Smith has a team-high 23 receptions for 412 yards and three touchdowns. The Bulldogs have won 16 of their last 17 road games and are rarely available as betting underdogs.
