INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever let go of head coach Christie Sides on Sunday.

Sides went 33-47 in two seasons, while helping in the development of two consecutive WNBA Rookies of the Year (Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark, respectively). She was named the league’s coach of the month for August as the organization was on its way to clinching its first playoff berth since 2016.

Per Fever President of Basketball Operations Kelly Krauskopf, “We are incredibly thankful to Coach Sides for embracing the challenge of leading us through an integral transition period over the last two seasons, while also positioning us well for future growth.”

Krauskopf added that the decision to let go of Sides was not an easy task, but the Fever said they are goal-driven towards “…maximizing our talent and bringing another WNBA championship back to Indiana.”

“Coach Sides was an incredible representative of the Fever and our community, and we wish her nothing but success in the future,” Krauskopf added.
