You look like you could use a day off .

Those are words you’ll probably never hear from your boss, so allow us to say it for you. Hey, CBUS — Mitch here.I don’t want to brag, but actually I do . I’m positive I’ve designed the perfect day off in Columbus, and I’m ready to share it.

    Morning

I highly recommend starting your day with a morning walk , and Calumet Street in Clintonville is a long stretch with perfectly manicured yards, cozy homes, and sidewalks. It also leads back out to North High Street, which offers local spots like Cup O’ Joe, Katalina’s, and Jack & Benny’s Diner. Bring the morning to a close with vintage shopping at spots like Eclectiques Antique Mall.

    Afternoon

This is where the choose-your-own-adventure story is determined by weather and company. Columbus has a plethora of tennis and pickleball courts that are worth dropping in on when the weather is nice. On the other hand, rainy days are unavoidable, and COSI’s “Titanic” exhibit is tragically interesting. If the rain has you stuck at home, these flicks and shows feature the city.

    Evening

It never hurts to be somewhat responsible on a day off. That means grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s in Easton followed by dinner at Northstar. It also means spending an hour in the gym as a final act of responsible decisions. Finally, depending on what day it is, there’s probably an outdoor movie screening or trivia night about to start, both offering ice cold, locally brewed beers.
