VIDEO: Attempted cartel hijacking or insurance fraud?

A truck driver captured a possible attempted carjacking, or maybe even insurance fraud, in this dash cam video.

In the clip, a truck driver is making his way down a highway in Mexico when a pickup truck starts swerving in front of him. The pickup is clearly trying to drive up beside the tractor trailer in front, but the trucker realizes what they’re trying to do before they can do it and swerves in sync with the pickup, preventing them from driving up alongside him.

The pickup then either gives up or nearly loses control and ends up on the shoulder of the highway, where it appears the filming driver smashes them against the barrier wall.

“There are many of these hijacking attempts happening in Mexico, and truckers always crush them against the barriers or walls,” commented one.

I have a cousin that drives in Mexico and he told me they kidnapped him for a day to unload his trailer and let him loose it’s crazy af out there,” added another.

“Might’ve been attempted insurance scam. Props either way,” wrote a third.
