Trucker struggles to maintain control of downhill truck with dead engine

A truck driver struggles to maintain control of a rig heading downhill with a dead engine in this harrowing video.

In the clip, the driver is traveling on a winding, downhill road when, at some point, his engine dies.

“His truck was dead. Don’t remember the type of sensor that failed but all he had were his airbrakes,” one viewer familiar with the area and incident commented .

Oncoming traffic blocks the driver from several reasonable places to take the truck safely off the road, and the rig eventually overturns in the road, forcing a utility van to take evasive action.
