Foul play suspected after trucker found dead in cab of semi parked along I-80

Officials in Utah are investigating after a semi truck driver was found dead inside his vehicle along I-80 in Tooele County on Thursday.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on September 26, a co-worker called the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) and reported finding a truck driver deceased inside the cab of his truck on an I-80 ramp in the Delle area.

The co-worker told police that he noticed the truck driver’s GPS wasn’t moving, so he went to check on him.

UHP arrived at the scene to investigate.

Police said that the truck driver’s death is deemed suspicious and foul play is suspected, according to Fox 13 .

The incident is under investigation by the Utah Bureau of Investigation.
