A trailer had to be removed straight up and out of a tight village road by crane after the semi truck got stuck in the narrow roadway.

The tractor trailer became stuck on Monday, September 30th while attempting to haul seed through Cornwall, a Cornish village in England. The trailer was not removed until Wednesday, October 2nd.

According to BBC News , the truck driver took a wrong turn and wedged the rig so tightly, that authorities were forced to use a crane to lift the trailer straight out of the village.

“Once it’s up and in a horizontal position, it’s straight up and a straight lift,” said Dougie Smith, who operated the crane.

“It’s so close to the house that when they lift it up they’ve got to be incredibly skilled to get it from bashing into the house,” said one villager who watched the ordeal.

“There’s only about a foot between and the house [which] is probably not absolutely perpendicular, being old.”

A similar situation happened in the same spot with another commercial vehicle back in 2007.
