According to officials, a two-alarm fire struck a home at 125 Conestoga St. in Charlestown around 2:30 p.m. The historic home was built in 1792 and overlooked the North East River.

An estimated $2.5 million in damage was reported in Charlestown, when a residence known by local residents as the Eagle Point Rod and Gun Club went up in flames on Monday. Dozens of firefighters from the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Company and nearby agencies responded to the historic residence on Conestoga Street at around 2:40 p.m. on June 24, when a neighbor reported a fire at the 4,000-square-foot residence.
