Rising Sun downs Bohemia Manor

CHESAPEAKE CITY — Rising Sun remained undefeated on Wednesday afternoon with an 8-1 win over Bohemia Manor in Chesapeake Division softball action.

The Tigers got on the board in the first inning with an RBI double from Aubrey McCoy. After Bo Manor tied the game at one in the home half of the first with an RBI from Jordon Alexander, Sun responded three times in the second inning. Madison Fairweather made it a 2-1 game with an RBI single. A two-run double by Josalyn McMillan extended Rising Sun’s advantage to three.

Following a scoreless third inning, the Tigers grew their lead to six in the top of fourth off a three-run home run by Jordan Lynch. Lynch went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in three runs. McMillan grew Sun’s lead to seven in the top of the sixth inning with an RBI single. McMillan ended the day with three hits and three RBIs.

Sun’s Madison Ore allowed four hits and struck out four batters in her complete game outing. Kylee Bergman finished with a pair of hits for the Eagles.

Rising Sun hosts Harford Tech on Friday, while Bohemia Manor visits Fallston.
