St. Patrick's Chapel to hold mass Sept. 7

CONOWINGO — The historic St. Patrick’s Chapel will open its doors Saturday Sept. 7 for the fall mass beginning at 10 a.m.

Located at 287 Pleasant Grove Road in Conowingo, the chapel was built by Irish immigrants more than 200 years ago. It was restored by the St. Patrick’s Historical Society over seven years, costing more than $160,000. It was rededicated in 2010.

Father Jay McKee with the Good Shepherd Parish in Perryville will officiate the mass. There will be tours and light refreshments afterward.
