MILFORD, Del. — Two Cecil County men are facing criminal charges after they allegedly stole property from a construction site in Milford, Del., according to the Milford (Del.) Police Department.

Police officials identified the suspects as Joshua Reeves, 33, and Timothy Frye, 29, both of Elkton.

The investigation leading to the charges against Reeves and Frye started at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday (Aug. 9), when a MPD officer spotted a car without illuminated headlights traveling through a Cypress Hall development parking lot along Geyer Avenue, police said.

That led to a traffic stop in which the officer noticed “burglar tools and construction materials” in the back seat of the car while interacting with Reeves, who was the driver, and Frye, his passenger, police added.

“Further investigation showed the two (had) entered a new construction property and stole materials,” a MPD spokesperson summarized.

Investigators charged Reeves and Frye with third-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, second-degree conspiracy and theft of property valued under $1,500, police reported.

In addition, Reeves was wanted on a warrant that had been issued to the Camden (Del.) Police Department, according to police.

Court officials released Reeves and Frye on their own recognizance and issued a no-contact order prohibiting the two men from having any contact with each other, police reported.

The defendants are awaiting their preliminary hearings in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas, police noted.
