COLORA — Local historian Emily Kilby will give a free presentation on religious history in Cecil County at West Nottingham Friends Meetinghouse on Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. entitled “The Tale of Two Churches Serving a Diverse Community.”

Kilby’s presentation is part of an Open House at the Meetinghouse, 600 Harrisville Road in Colora from noon until 4 p.m. She will talk about the history and families in the community of Harrisville and how the Friends and the congregation of West Nottingham Presbyterian Church shaped the community.

Anyone with history of that area to share is welcome to come and have that history recorded by members of the Cecil Historical Trust. Admission is free.

There will be copies of “At the Head of the Bay,” a book published by the trust, available for purchase with all sales benefiting West Nottingham Friends Meetinghouse, built in 1811.
