ANNAPOLIS — Every Thursday in October, the Maryland Department of Planning is offering a series of online classes aimed at pedestrian traffic; calling these sessions “walkinars.”

Topics will include “Sidewalks to Safety,” which explores student safety to and from school, “Crafting Safe Spaces for Every Step with Every Trip,” which will explore the Maryland State Highway Administration’s ‘Complete Streets’ program and “Sustainable Growth,” that will look at walkability and its benefits for communities.

Each walkinar is eligible for continuing education credits. To register for these free sessions, go to https://planning.maryland.gov/Pages/OurEngagement/vcalendar.aspx
