Mount Harmon to host annual oyster roast fundraiser this weekend

EARLEVILLE — Mount Harmon Plantation is hosting its annual Bull & Oyster Roast fundraiser this Saturday, Oct. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to support the historic plantation.

“Mount Harmon is not state or federally funded so these events are key to keeping the plantation preserved, maintained, and provide educational programming to thousands of students and visitors each year,” said Mount Harmon's Executive Director Paige Howard.

Oysters of all kinds are on offer – including oysters on the half-shell, fried, roasted, and baked – providing something for every oyster lover at the traditional Eastern Shore event.

There will be live and silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle to benefit Mount Harmon. The auctions will feature gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses, vacation getaways, private parties, local beverage tastings, sporting events, jewelry, fine art, antiques, and more.

Live music will also be part of the festivities thanks to Around the Bend Bluegrass.
