A little more than 25 people came out to the trailhead for the Cedar Creek Waterway Tuesday evening. It was the inaugural meeting of a walking/running club at this natural park in the 100 block of E.S. 11th St.

Josh Rader, a personal trainer with Firehouse Fitness and the organizer, said the group is open to everyone and will meet at 7 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday.

Announced on social media, the group on Tuesday was a mix of hard-core runners, casual walkers and families with children ranging from toddler to teen.

The makeup of the group reflected Rader's idea for the club.

Some were speedsters, some were strollers and everyone was encouraged to proceed at their own pace.
