A woman in Texas paid two guys $100 to steal a man’s iPhone at gunpoint because it had “proof of her infidelities,” according to police. The situation was brought to light on June 25. According to a news release, Cameron County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 2300 block of Magdalena Avenue in Brownsville to investigate an aggravated robbery. Man dies after being struck by train in South Austin; police investigating
Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a train in South Austin on Tuesday night, the Austin Police Department said at a news conference. Authorities received an urgent check welfare call at 10:19 p.m., indicating a person had been hit by a train near in the 1700 block of West Stassney Lane, near Menchaca Road, officer Austin Zarling said. The man was pronounced deceased about 30 minutes later, he said. Police did not identify or provide an age range for the man.
