A man accused of stealing chicken from a Food Lion store in Spartanburg County may have also stolen more than $12,000 worth of chicken from numerous Food Lion stores in North Carolina.

Suggestions for naming Carrboro’s new library building range from “Carrboro Library” to “Library McLibraryface,” Town Council Member Catherine Fray says. The town has been working on bringing a new Orange County library branch to town since 2016. The Southern Branch of the library will be part of a Carrboro building that also includes the Orange County Skills Development Center, the Carrboro Recreation, Parks and Cultural Resources Department, WCOM radio and the Virtual Justice Center. It’s currently known as the “203 Project” for its location at 203 S. Greensboro Street.
