Carbon and Emery High Marching Bands Unite to Perform in the Days of 47’ Parade
It’s almost Pioneer Day which is set for this Wednesday, July 24. The celebration commemorates the arrival of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon Pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Along with Pioneer Day comes the Days of 47’ Parade held in Salt Lake City each year, which features floats, horses, clowns and performances from marching bands from around the state. This year the Emery and Carbon High School bands are joining together to perform in the parade.
