PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The City of Portland responded to a sewage release from a pump station Tuesday night in Northeast Portland. Officials say sewage overflowed to the street at the intersection of NE Broadway and Weidler near 86th Avenue. City officials stated that some sewage reached the basements of three homes at that intersection.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Fred Meyer workers will strike at several stores across the Portland metro area starting tomorrow. According to a news release from UFCW Local 555, the strike will last from 6 a.m. on Aug. 28 to 8 a.m. on Sept. 3.
