Fermilab to Close Temporarily in August Due to Budget Issues
Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory will close a significant part of its operations from Aug. 26 to Sept. 8, WTTW News has confirmed. Employees will be forced to take vacation during that time in order to be paid, and some research will be paused. Fermilab will also be closed to the public. Earlville man arrested by TRIDENT agents for alleged cocaine delivery
Agents with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRIDENT) arrested an Earlville man following an alleged drug delivery Thursday. According to a news release, 30-year-old Kenneth R. Hacek was allegedly involved in delivering three grams of purported cocaine to a person who was working with TRIDENT agents. The alleged exchange took place in the 4200 block of East 16th Road in Earlville. Following the alleged delivery, Hacek was involved in a traffic stop with TRIDENT agents and was taken into custody.
