Flames destroy Cherry Flats Baptist Church, along with nearby garage
MANSFIELD, PA (WENY) -- A fire destroyed the Cherry Flats Baptist Church near Mansfield on Wednesday afternoon. The fire also destroyed a nearby garage and pickup truck. The family that resides in the home on the church’s right side said it could have been much worse. Melissa Bolt was at work when she received an alert on her phone from her camera security system. She sped home, calling her husband Jessie, to tell him that their entire garage was engulfed in flames.
Penn College Summer 2024 Commencement set for Aug. 3
More than 150 students have petitioned to graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology following the Summer 2024 sessions. A commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Community Arts Center, with 100 students expected to march in the proceedings.
