Last week, two men were caught in the act of placing credit card skimming devices at multiple grocery store locations, sparking concern among shoppers and store owners alike. According to KDKA Radio, an alert employee discovered a skimmer at Community Supermarket in Lower Burrell. Surveillance footage later implicates the men installing a similar skimming device at other stores, including a Shop 'n Save in Scott Township.

Man charged for failing to disclose arrest on gun application
Muncy, Pa. — A person’s failure to disclose a previous drug conviction might prove costly after a felony charge was issued by a local magistrate judge. Patrick Robert Ranck, 43, of Hughesville allegedly checked “no” to a question asking if he had previously been convicted of a felony. An investigation by State Police uncovered that was inaccurate, according to a complaint. Investigators said Ranck was convicted of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in August of 2008. Ranck is being charged with false written statement to buy a firearm and statement under penalty of law. No bail is listed for Ranck. Docket sheet
