    Deputies continue to trace teen girl missing since May

    ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies have released new information as they continue to search for a missing teenager from Cedar Springs.

    On Wednesday, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office said that 17-year-old Penelope “Penny” Wise was seen around midnight on Saturday, June 1, near a bar in Rockford. She was captured on camera walking alone by the Corner Bar in Rockford, deputies say. The bar is located near N Main Street and Courtland Street.

    Since June 1, deputies say Wise has not been seen.

    She walked away from her family home, located near Morley Park in Cedar Springs, on the evening of May 31, according to the sheriff’s office. Around 6 p.m. that day, she was spotted on surveillance video on Rockford Park Drive near Northland Drive. In the video, she is wearing a pink tank top and shorts.

    Wise stands about 5 feet tall and weighs about 120 pounds, according to the sheriff’s office. She has blonde hair and braces.
