Woman files lawsuit against Silver Dollar City, Herschend Entertainment regarding October 2022 train derailment
NEAR BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - A passenger inside a derailed train at Silver Dollar City in October 2022 filed a lawsuit. Rebecca Everhart sued Silver Dollar City and the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation for negligence. The lawsuit states Silver Dollar City failed to maintain the train, causing it to derail. Everhart reported back injuries and PTSD from the derailment.

Branson's aldermen talked about the renewal of the CID for downtown Branson. That happened during a study session on Tuesday night. Kyle Yung explained that the CID makes the red trolleys and more possible. He said the first CID kicked off 18 years ago, and renewal is due in close to two years.
