Janice Arrington

Mrs. Janice Elaine Floyd Arrington , known to all as “Mimi”, age 73, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was born on August 4, 1950 in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late Tom Leroy “TL” and Louise Trammell Floyd.

Mrs. Arrington is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Steve Edward Arrington; sons, Scott Arrington (Allyn) and Brian Arrington (Christy); daughter, Michelle A. Short (Neil); sisters, Patricia Forsyth (Wayne)and Cindy Sanders (Charles); brothers, Tommy Floyd and Ray Floyd (Carolyn); grandchildren, Cameron Arrington, Trevor Arrington, Kaitlyn Elaina Arrington, Kaitlin Ayn Arrington, Daniel Arrington, Coty Short, and Jared Pike; great-grandchildren, MacKayleigh “Mack” Arrington, Zayne Arrington, Chandler Fennell and Gracelyn Pike; special friend, Donna Johnson; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Mrs. Arrington is preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Michael Floyd; grandchild, Jenna Williamson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Homer and Beatrice Arrington.

The funeral service for Mrs. Arrington will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Drummond and Dr. DeWayne New officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Arrington will receive family and friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Cameron Arrington, Trevor Arrington, Daniel Arrington, Tony Hodgins, Lance Hodgins, Jeff Arrington, and John Edward Ingram.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Coty Short, MacKayleigh Arrington, Zayne Arrington, Chandler Fennell, Shannon Floyd, Jared Pike, and John W. Ingram.
