NEW YORK -- As Team USA and Simone Biles celebrate their Olympic gymnastics comeback, one New Jersey town is over the moon for its new gold medalist.Hezly Rivera is making her Olympics debut this year in Paris at 16 years old. Mantua’s Patriot Day honors lives lost on 9/11
The township will host Gloucester County’s annual Patriot Day Ceremony at Chestnut Branch Park next month to honor those who died on 9/11. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m., around the time the first plane hijacked by terrorists hit the World Trade Center’s north tower that day. The Wednesday, Sept. 11, ceremony will take place at the park’s Place of Remembrance, which honors the 2,977 lives lost in New York City, at the Pentagon and in a Pennsylvania field during the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history.
Arrest Made for Contractor Fraud – Are you a victim?
WASHINGTON TWP. — On July 23, Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes and Insurance Fraud Units, Washington Township Police Department, and Mantua Township Police Department arrested 32-year-old Christopher Fuscellaro of Mantua Township without incident outside his residence on Timbercrest Drive as the result of an eight month-long investigation.

Buju, The ‘Sassy’ Cheetah at Cape May Zoo Has Died
Buju, a longtime favorite at Cape May Zoo has died. The 12-year-old cheetah passed away from kidney disease. The Cape May Zoo announced his passing Monday morning on Facebook, saying that Buju passed away due to kidney disease. Cheetahs in the wild typically live 8-12 years and up to 20 years in managed care.

Dead fish, pooping birds a bad combination for NJ shore town
LITTLE EGG HARBOR — Dead fish are creating problems on the water and in the air in a Jersey Shore town. Residents told 6ABC Action News that they've been dealing with what looks like hundreds of fish floating in a lagoon in the Osburn Island section of Little Egg Harbor.
