Clever Creek Baptist Homecoming and Cemetery Celebration News Staff Thu, 09/07/2023 - 05:16 Image Body The Clever Creek Baptist Church annual Homecoming and Cemetery Celebration will be, as always, on the last Sunday in September -- September 24, 2023. We will share in fellowship with those who come to remember the founding of the church that still identifies as Clever Creek Baptist Church. This is our 120th anniversary. Bro. Son Windham will be our guest preacher for this homecoming and cemetery celebration. Sunday School will be at 10 a.m. and then our morning worship with Evangelist Windham singing and preaching for us. A lunch served for all attending the meeting will follow the worship. Clever Creek is located at 199 CR 1042 at FM 417 W. All are welcome to worship with us.

Center auxiliary programs may not perform at Desoto Sydney Brookshire Thu, 09/07/2023 - 05:16 Image Body CISD was informed Tuesday by North DeSoto that Center’s auxiliary programs (drill team, twirlers, etc.) may not be allowed to perform. Apparently, Louisiana allows only 15 minutes at half-time. There is a chance they might be able to perform before the game, but the North DeSoto school district offered no guarantees. Center’s groups will attend the game Friday. However, CISD wants to make the public is aware of this information. If anything changes, the Center ISD will update the public.
