Testing available at Logansport Health Fair News Staff Thu, 07/13/2023 - 06:40 Image Body The Desoto Regional Health System’s annual Health Fair will be July 14th from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Logansport, La. at the Logansport high school gym. The annual event Desoto Regional does for the community for citizen to get lab work done at an affordable price. More than 20 vendors are expected to participate. Blood testing available for $30 includes CBC, CMP, lipid profile, thyroid profile, vitamin D, HGB, and A 1C. All the above plus PSA testing for prostate cancer screening is $35. Remember to fast after midnight.

County road work begins Monday
County road work begins Monday Rhonda Oaks Thu, 07/13/2023 - 06:40 Image Body Work will begin Monday, July 17 on a Shelby County roadway, weather permitting, that will require lane closures and traffic control for up to six weeks. Crews will begin rehabilitating and widening the length of FM 3343 next week from US 84 to the end of state maintenance. Work is expected for 6:30 a.m. until 3:30 Monday through Friday until the project is completed. Traffic control will be set with lane closures and lead cars guiding motorists through the work zone. Drivers are urged to stay alert, reduce speed and obey all traffic control. Be aware of moving equipment and workers near the lane of traffic. Motorists should expect delays through this work zone.
