Health Department Closes Hotel Pool After Pool Users Experience Health Problems
TriCounty Health Department has issued a pool closure at a Vernal hotel after they responded to an event that resulted in several people being treated at area hospitals. The investigation is underway at the Comfort Inn pool. “TriCounty Health Department responded to the scene after learning of dispatch calls reporting that pool users were experiencing respiratory distress, nausea and vomiting,” shares the health department’s announcement. “TriCounty Health believes there is no ongoing risk to the public or to hotel staff or guests. Those who were affected were transported to area hospitals. Ashley Regional Medical Center reports that all who came in for treatment have been discharged.” The health department will provide more information as the investigation develops.
Allegedly intoxicated e-biker arrested in Sun Peak neighborhood
A Summit County sheriff’s deputy saw the man swerving in the Sun Peak neighborhood of Park City around 11 p.m. July 14, according to Chief Deputy Kacey Bates. The arresting deputy said they saw the biker nearly collide with vehicles multiple times and drift into oncoming traffic before they pulled him over.

Wyatt Howard is a 28-year-old driver from Price. Howard drives the number 72w car and races in the IMCA Modified and Dirt Late Model Classes. He has been around racing his entire life and has been racing at the level for the last 14 years. His father Harvey Howard started racing dirt cars after an unfortunate motorcycle accident that had left him paralyzed. He raced late models and modifieds throughout the 90s and 2000s, until he retired in 2010. He is now right by his son’s side, as they continue to chase the dream.
