Iowa Trust and Savings Bank donates $100,000 to Indian Hills Foundation
Iowa Trust and Savings Bank, Centerville, Iowa, announces a $100,000 donor contribution to Indian Hills Foundation in support of Indian Hills Community College construction of the Centerville Education Center, which is a beautiful new 66,000 square foot construction campus that replaces the thirteen modular-based buildings originally placed on the campus in 1971. The new campus brings together the library; foodservice; general education classrooms; as well as labs for welding, industrial maintenance, construction technology; commercial driver training, agricultural sciences, nursing science and art, all in one academic building that will meet the needs of students on the Centerville Campus. With this contribution, the Health Science classroom will be named the Iowa Trust and Savings Bank classroom. Iowa Trust and Savings Bank President and CEO, Renate Deininger, states, “Iowa Trust has always been committed to enhancing the educational experience of students at Indian Hills, and we are very excited for the beautiful new Centerville campus completion and the lasting impact that it will have on students attending the campus and our community.”

Another Section of Main Street to be Closed in Knoxville Next Week
Another section of Main Street will be closed in Knoxville next week. This closure will be on Main Street from Attica Rd. to 7th St. for a private sewer repair. The closure is expected to last until Friday, August 30th. Other road construction continues to be ongoing throughout the city as part of the Street Improvement Project. Man Found Shot to Death in Davenport Parking Lot Early Saturday
Davenport, IA – A man was found shot to death in a parking lot early Saturday morning in Davenport. Police responded to the 100 block of West River Drive around 12:24 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered the adult male victim, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
