South Dakota veteran receives Patriot of the Year
SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A South Dakota veteran has been awarded nationally in recognition of his service. Republican Rep. Ken Teunissen received the National Patriot of the Year award from the Military Order of the Purple Heart. The Military Order of the Purple Heart is an organization of around 45,000 individuals that strives to help combat wounded veterans assist each other nationwide.
