SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KTIV) - It’s a bird... it’s a plane... it’s a Chinese spy balloon?. “No, they’re all built right here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. So no, they’re South Dakota balloons, not Chinese balloons,” said Russ Van Der Werff, the vice president of Stratospheric Solutions for Aerostar. Aerostar, formerly Raven Industries, is a company that’s been sending balloons to the top of our atmosphere since the 1950s.
Northern State Announces 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame Class
Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University Foundation and Wolves Athletics will honor six individuals and one team at the 2024 NSU Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Banquet. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The runaway pig that captured the hearts of the internet after he was saved from the Big Sioux River has been put down. The piglet, named Eric Jr. by the Falls Park staff, was taken in by Happy Pig Haven Sanctuary on Saturday. The sanctuary had been posting updates on Eric Jr. progress, but let people know on Tuesday that he had to be put down due to health complications.
Yankton Man in Custody after 4-Week Search
A man who escaped authorities after a June chase into Cedar County has been apprehended in Lesterville following an armed standoff on Monday. The Yankton County Sheriff’s Office says Jason Lee Sitzman, who is wanted on charges from both South Dakota and Iowa, was arrested after law enforcement located him at a Lesterville residence.
