A Fallen Hero is Coming Home
DE GREY, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Robert A. Bartlett, a Corporal in the US Army, was killed in a tank battle shortly after D-Day June 6, 1944. His body was badly burned, and his dog tags were nowhere to be found. So, his unidentified remains were buried in Normandy cemetery. However, in May his remains were identified via DNA and so Corporal Bartlett was disinterred and transferred home to South Dakota.

Man sentenced to 30 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Giles Hulsman was sentenced on July 24 after he was in a head-on collision with Lance Hunter in November 2022. Hulsman was going 81 miles per hour when he hit Hunter and said the reason he was going that fast was because he was having a panic attack. There was no alcohol in Hulsman’s system when he crashed.
