Alcohol Sting Conducted in Mitchell
MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) On 07-15-24 the South-Central Alcohol Task Force conducted 17 alcohol compliance checks in the city of Mitchell. The following establishments were checked and passed: Board & Brush, Corn Palace, Corn Palace Gift Shop, Masonic Temple, Area Community Theatre, Jokerz Casino II, Lakeview Golf Course, Westside Sinclair, County Fair Food Store, El Columpio, Graham Sinclair, Marlin’s Roadhouse Grille, Cattleman’s Club Steakhouse, and Freedom Valu Center.
Clark man sentenced to 4 years in state prison for vehicular battery & impact statements read in court
{KXLG – Watertown, SD} Dustin Beynon, 28, of Clark, SD, was sentenced today by Judge Carmen Means to 10 years in the state prison with six years suspended and four days credit for time served for vehicular battery committed on June 4, 2023, with the charge of driving under the influence dismissed by the prosecution in a motion on May 15, 2024, when the no contest plea was entered on the vehicular battery.

Branching out to help clean up
Some members of the West Whitlock State Recreation Area staff helped with cleanup in Pierre on Monday. The Oahe Downstream area was hit hard during a storm over the weekend, that knocked down trees and branches, and also did damage to area businesses. The members of Gettysburg’s river staff from the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks chipped in to help at the park near Pierre, while others stayed back to tend to the park at the bay west of Gettysburg.
