LSU leads the way in Cole Cubelic’s SEC offensive line rankings
Former Auburn offensive lineman and current SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic recently ranked the top offensive lines in the SEC. The LSU Tigers are No. 1 on his board followed by Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Missouri. When you look at LSU’s offensive line, there are two huge reasons why the Tigers are sitting at No. 1 on Cubelic’s list. Those reasons? Will Campbell and Emery Jones Jr.. Campbell and Jones are two of the top five offensive tackle prospects for the 2025 NFL draft with Campbell being the No. 1 offensive tackle and one of the top five overall draft prospects. Combine those two guys with three other solid offensive linemen and the talent that LSU has on the offensive side of the ball and you have a recipe for what could be one of the best offenses in the country this fall. Garrett Nussmeier and the Tigers offense will try to lead Brian Kelly to his third straight 10-win season on the Bayou. Top LSU pitcher signee officially inks professional deal with the Braves
One of LSU’s top signees in the 2024 baseball recruiting class won’t be making his way to Baton Rouge after he was drafted in the first round of the 2024 MLB draft. Cam Caminiti had an incredible year for Saguaro High School as a Senior. He went 9-0 with a 0.93 ERA on the season, striking out 119 batters in 52 2/3 innings. At the plate, he hit .493. He helped lead his high school to its first state championship in 13 years. The 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves drafted him with the 24th pick in the first round of the...
Top Louisiana cornerback Jaboree Antoine commits to Miami over LSU
Jaboree Antoine has had an interesting recruitment process, to say the least. Antoine committed to LSU on Jan. 27 but changed his decision a few months later. On June 23, he decommitted from LSU and reopened his recruitment. LSU was still in the running but was fighting Miami and Florida State. On Saturday, he committed once again, but it wasn’t to LSU. Antoine announced his commitment to Miami. The four-star cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class is a prized recruit and one of the best players from the boot. It stinks losing him to Miami but his recruitment is not over. He has...
Watch LSU All-America candidate Will Campbell put up a monster squat
LSU loses a lot of pieces on offense this season, but the unit is still widely expected to be one of the league’s best. A major reason for that is an offensive line that returns four of five starters from a Joe Moore Award finalist group in 2023. That unit is anchored by left tackle Will Campbell, a top 2025 draft prospect and one of the best offensive linemen in the entire country.
Mixing football, politics is not new. One BR coach nearing wins milestone has a unique plan.
Sid Edwards explained his Friday news in a matter-of-fact way. “Well … I put $32 worth of gas in the tank and then I did it,” the Istrouma head football coach said. Edwards cemented his first foray into politics as one of four Friday qualifiers for Baton Rouge’s mayor-president race.
LSU Picked to Finish 5th at SEC Media Days
SEC Media Days have come and gone (wait was that this week?) and now that the circus has left Dallas the media’s preseason predictions are rolling out. If the predictions come true it looks like 2024 will be a good but maybe not great year for LSU. The Tigers were picked to finish 5th in the new-look SEC behind Georgia, Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss, with the Dawgs and Longhorns predicted to face off in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game. As a reminder there are no more divisions in the SEC, so the top two teams at the end of the regular season will play for the conference championship.
LSU coach Brian Kelly to face 2 former assistants in 2024
Brian Kelly has coached for a long time. He’s seen plenty of assistants come and go, with some going on to be head coaches. Two of those names include Mike Elko and Clark Lea. Both worked under Kelly as defensive coordinator and both are now SEC head coaches. Kelly will get to face both in 2024, with both appearing on LSU’s schedule. Kelly was asked about facing Mike Elko earlier this week at SEC Media Days. Kelly said Elko is a smart football coach who will play to Texas A&M’s strengths in all three phases of the game. “I think that’s why Mike’s...
Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold eagerly anticipates potential epic prime time game at LSU in November
LSU is notoriously known for producing one of, if not the best atmospheres in college football. The hostile environment inside Tiger Stadium with more than 100,000 rambunctious fans makes it extremely difficult for opponents — especially in prime time games. Despite this, Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold is most eager for the challenge as the Sooners make their SEC debut in 2024.

All of Louisiana at Risk for Excessive Rainfall Event Monday
There is an old joke whether you live in Boutte or Baton Rouge, Breaux Bridge or Bastrop if your driver's license says "Louisiana" then you live in a low-lying area. And while it's true that some parts of our state lie lower than others, it's also true that no matter where you live in Louisiana over the next couple of days heavy rainfall is going to be a concern for you.
