Jerry Arlyn Moltzau

July 4, 1937 ~ August 6, 2024

Jerry Arlyn Moltzau, age 87, passed away August 6, 2024, at his home in Prineville of congenital heart disease. He was born July 4, 1937, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Ted and Helen (Halvorson) Moltzau. His beloved wife, Bev, and son, Steve, were by his side when Jerry passed.

Jerry’s family moved to Oregon in 1947 and settled in the Santa Clara area in Eugene. He attended Eugene public schools and the University of Oregon.

Jerry loved the outdoors and spent many years exploring. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol and Search and Rescue. Jerry served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1964.

Jerry and Bev moved to Bend in 1968, raised their sons, and in 2002, they moved to Prineville, where they built their home and enjoyed many happy years together.

Sons, Jeffrey and Christopher, his parents and four siblings preceded Jerry in death.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at the family home on September 7.
