Blake Sims's one season of college football glory was almost halted before it even started because of a very unfortunate clerical error on someone's part. I honestly can't believe something like this was able to happen at Alabama under Nick Saban's watch. It sounds like whoever was responsible for the miscommunication between the call sheets and wristbands was never discovered, but I'd guess it's more likely that person actually was found out and then mysteriously disappeared. You don't have a fuck up like that and have Saban just never find out who was responsible for it.

This is according to Dr. Anand Iyer, a pulmonary critical care physician scientist and associate professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine; the Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care; and the School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
