Expect Minor Delays Saturday as ALDOT Surveys Tuscaloosa Bridges for Bats
The Alabama Department of Transportation will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend to survey the population of flying bats under a trio of bridges here. John McWilliams, a spokesperson for ALDOT in west Alabama, said crews will close one outside lane of US Highway 82 at a time Saturday morning and evening to check under bridges for roosting bats.

Huntsville’s contribution to ballistic missile defense for the U.S. and its allies is set to increase significantly following a major contract awarded to Raytheon Technologies. Police chase ends with three arrests
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Three men are facing charges after a police chase ended on Memorial Parkway Monday night. According to Huntsville Police, the department’s Anti-Crime Unit was following up on a previous investigation involving a car. UPDATE: Roadway has been cleared. Florence Police Department says There is a vehicle crash at Huntsville Road and Cox Creek Parkway near Green Valley Nursery. Police are advising avoid the area if possible and expect delays if you have to travel that way.
